Join us as we celebrate the start of fall migration on South Padre Island!
Every Wednesday (starting Sept 16th and ending Oct. 28th), visitors will be able to enjoy the gorgeous weather and the stunning birds that visit our center in the golden evening hours. Drinks will be available for purchase at our gift shop to enjoy on our back patio while you watch a picturesque fall sunset over South Padre Island!

Fall Into Fun! is a seasonal program of fall- and nature-themed craft activities, fun for the whole family! This limited program runs from Sept. 19th through Nov. 28th and is included with general admission entry. Check out our schedule below!

On Saturday, October 10th, World Migratory Bird Day and the peak of fall migration, our birding team made up of staff and volunteers will be birding on our back deck from sunrise to sunset in effort to record as many species as possible!
You can join our efforts to conserve migratory birds by pledging a monetary amount per bird species we record on the day as a fundraiser to help us preserve and expand our habitats! Or you can help us record birds on the day (general admission fees apply)!

Evenings on the Back Deck
Unveil your creativity with a glass in hand! Join us every third Thursday in the fall-winter season for a relaxed paint and sip evening outdoors.* Each date is limited to 15 participants. Get your tickets below!

The Lower Laguna Madre Young Birders Club aims to connect youth (9-15 years of age) with nature through birding with a goal to build an environmentally conscious future while having lots of fun!
The club will offer monthly birding adventures and lessons that will be themed to the birds that are seen during the different seasons in the year. Binoculars will be lent out to participants and our Naturalist Educator and other local partners in nature will be leading the tours and lessons.

Hallowings
A Monarch Migration Celebration
Hallowings takes place on the last Sunday of October! Enjoy free admission for a day and gain access to a variety of fun activities including a native plant sale, live music, local vendors, face painting, sandcastle lessons, butterfly habitat tour and planting session, and more. Join us in the Halloween fun and come dressed in your favorite costume!
