About the event
The Lower Laguna Madre Young Birders Club aims to connect youth with nature through birding with a goal to build an environmentally conscious future while having lots of fun!
The weather is cooling down and the birds are heading south! Such a lovely time to enjoy the best of birding! The SPIBNCAS is an incredibly important stop-over site for migratory birds and late September brings the peak of migration through our area! Here they can find the food, water, and shelter they need to refuel for the rest of the migration!
This program will focus on the importance of native habitat for migratory birds and enjoying as many migratory species as possible.
Program will start with a 30-minute presentation followed by a 2-hour tour of our boardwalk.
We invite youth (9-15 years of age) to be part of the club and enjoy a morning of birding with us!
