Lower Laguna Madre
Young Birders Club
Connecting Youth To Nature Through Birding
Birding is one of the fastest growing pastimes in the country and an excellent way to enjoy nature! It is also a beneficially healthy activity as it reduces stress, increases awareness, promotes outdoor exercise, and builds community.
The Lower Laguna Madre area is one of the birdiest in the United States,
making it a perfect place to always have an exciting day out birding with friends!
The Lower Laguna Madre Young Birders Club aims to connect youth (9-15 years of age) with nature through birding with a goal to build an environmentally conscious future while having lots of fun! The club will offer monthly birding adventures and lessons that will be themed to the birds that are seen during the different seasons in the year. Binoculars will be lent out to participants and our Naturalist Educators and other local partners in nature will be leading the tours and lessons.
